The
24th Street Experiment will present
its latest play, “Family Devotions,”
from Feb. 1 through Feb.10.
“Family Devotions,” written
and directed by retired OLLU professor
Ric Slocum, depicts the story of three
generations of one family in Oklahoma
and how racism, fear and bigotry affect
the family.
Produced by OLLU drama professor Victor
Trevino, “Family Devotions”
includes performances from Vice President
for Academic Affairs Dr. Jackie Alexander,
local theater director Diane Malone,
Northwest Vista College drama instructor
Mellisa Marlowe, OLLU alumni and local
middle school drama instructor Salvador
Valadez, local actor Pam Slocum, and
student Eric Trevino.
The play will be performed Feb. 5-10
at 8 p.m. in Thiry Auditorium. General
admission for the play is $20. Military
and students with IDs and those over
65 will be charged $10. Free admission
will be given to those with an OLLU
ID.
