A reason to become a ‘Narc’

An undercover narcotics officer, Sgt. Nick Tellis (Jason Patric), who was on indefinite leave due to an incident on the job, is convinced to go back to work (against his wife’s wishes) to help solve a special cold case murder.

The case is special because it involves the murder of a rookie undercover narcotics officer, Michael Calvess. Tellis is partnered with veteran detective Lt. Henry Oak (Ray Liotta), whose style of hard-nosed detective work is questionable.

Tellis finds himself following dead-end leads and questioning whether or not this case can be solved.

The film is a mixture of crime, mystery, and a little bit of dark comedy. Because of the storyline and filmmaking style, this is an amazing small-budget film.

Jason Patric and Ray Liotta shine in this film. Fans of Ray Liotta need to see this film; this is one of his best performances. Check out the behind-the-scenes feature. It will make you appreciate this film more when you find out what the cast and crew went through during filming, including almost working for free.
