Sylvester
Stallone reprises his role as war
hero John Rambo and directs the fourth
film of the “Rambo” franchise.
“Rambo” begins by explaining
what is happening in the hostile territory
of Burma. Rambo has been living peacefully
in neighboring Mae Sot, Thailand,
trying to deal with his personal demons.
A group of missionaries asks Rambo
to take them up river to a village
in Burma. After developing a bond
with Sarah (Julie Benz), he reluctantly
takes them.
The missionaries are eventually captured
by the evil military for helping the
villagers. As a last resort, the pastor
of the church hires five mercenaries
and needs Rambo take them back to
the area to attempt a rescue mission.
After accepting what he is, Rambo
joins the rescue mission.
Premiering 26 years after the first
Rambo film, “Rambo” is
surprisingly good. Stallone is 62
years old and is in better shape than
most of the other actors. This is
a fun, adrenaline-pumping action film
for both men and women. Please don’t
expect to see Oscar-worthy performances.
With what is going on in the world
today, this is a great film for you
to sit back and enjoy the ride.
