Sports Blog: Spring Break to-do list for the sports, well, basketball fans

Sports/Entertainment Editor

Short blog this week since being an intern and keeping up with classes is taking a toll on me so close to Spring Break, and I can’t seem to come up with a really good topic to write about or the time to write a really good sports blog about a worthy topic.

So here is all I have to say. I can’t wait for Spring Break, and I know I am not alone. If you are looking for something to offer a distraction from sleeping until noon, not worrying about classes, and some much needed R&R, here are some of my suggestions:

• Check out “Semi-Pro” and not because I am saying the movie itself is great or making any comment about its stars, but because it features old ABA teams such as the San Antonio Spurs and even has cameos from some of the ABA original players like George Gervin.

• Start doing your research, and fill out that NCAA bracket. The men’s hoops tournament begins on March 20. So, without classes to interrupt your game- watching time, sit back and enjoy non-stop college hoops.

• Keep tabs on the NBA, especially the Western Conference. It seems Pau Gasol has really paid off for the Lakers. Will Jason Kidd and Shaq start changing their teams around too? If Sunday was any clue about Shaq and the Suns, it seems he is going all out to the point of flying through the air to make an impact.
