“La Vida Es Un Ratico” is worth more than a moment’s listen

La Vida Es un Ratico” (“Life Is a Moment”) is the fourth and latest CD by Latin Grammy winner Juanes. The CD was released on October 2007, and it’s his best and most profound CD yet.  This CD is filled with tunes that combine catchy rock hooks with traditional Colombian rhythms and melodies.

Each song on the CD seems to tell a story having a profound meaning or message for the listener. Juanes touches on topics such as terrorism, peace, poverty, unity and making a difference in the world.
The song “No Creo en el Jamás” (“I Don't Believe in Never”) is a song that uplifts your spirits, encouraging you to never give up on life.

Me Enamora” was the first radio single of the album, which debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Latin tracks, one of the few songs to do so in 2007. With lyrics “Sin ti mi vida no tiene sentido, sin ti mi vida es como un remolino” (“Without you my life has no meaning, without you my life is a swirl”). Juanes’ lyrics are easily relatable to anyone who is or has been in love.

Another outstanding song on this CD is “Tres;” its lyrics are “Yo no pienso que mi corazón resista un día más” (“I don’t think my heart can resist one more day without you”) talks about losing love and the suffering that comes along with it.

This CD is packed with such great songwriting, passionate lyrics and the outstanding delivery that fans have come to expect from Juanes. Although the lyrics are in Spanish, it shouldn’t stop those who do not speak the language from enjoying this fantastic CD.
