It might be time to retire the gang: ‘Ocean’s Thirteen’ gives weak end to strong start

Danny Ocean (George Clooney) and the gang of thieves are back for one last heist as Willy Bank (Al Pacino), a ruthless casino owner, doublecrosses Reuben Tishkoff (Elliot Gould). Reuben falls ill and is hospitalized. The gang retaliates by rigging every casino game in the players’ favor, ruining Bank’s new casino opening.

It’s about time to call it a trilogy. The movie has good actors, fantastic sets, but a very weak story. It also relies too heavily on some cheap writer tricks that ruin what could ultimately be a great film.
However, it does have some hilarious moments, and the chemistry of the cast is still as tight as ever. Unfortunately, the weak story (why does Willy stiff Reuben in the first place?) bogs down an entertaining movie.
