Lots of selections at Oodles

Before you start that low-carb diet, you might want to check out Oodles on 842 N.W. Loop 410. The restaurant serves up a mixture of American, Italian and Asian noodle entrees along with salads and soups.

The carb-happy dishes come with a garlic bread stick that compliments whatever entrée you ordered. You can even add chicken, beef, veggies, or tofu to your dish if you want.
The Three-Cheese Macaroni is definitely for the cheese fiend; it comes in a creamy sauce and is topped with Monterey jack and cheddar cheese all shredded and lightly melted. The chicken is a nice addition to the noodles. The only problem with this dish is that the cheese taste can get a little overpowering and will ultimately lead to a flavor overdose.

The buttery noodles with steamed carrots and broccoli tastes just as the restaurant’s motto promises: “the art of fresh.” The veggies are steamed to deliciousness, and the carrots and broccoli taste very healthy.

On the Asian side of the menu, the Pad-Thai With Tofu also was appetizing. However, the dish usually comes with fried eggs that for some reason did not make it into the bowl on our visit.
The reality of this restaurant is that it offers so many options that the possibilities are endless. But even the hungriest noodle eater should not go in expecting to eat more than one bowl. The suggestion is to order some different dishes and maybe even a salad (give your taste buds a pasta break) to share with friends.

Overall, Oodles is a great place for a quick lunch, but it fails to please even the most avid noodle fan as a dinner spot. For more information and a peek at the menu, visit www.artoffresh.com.
